Yumitrade believes that access to trade opportunities should be available to everyone. We are committed to providing a platform that is usable, intuitive, and inclusive for all users, including those with disabilities.

Accessibility is not a one-time effort but an ongoing commitment. We continuously work to improve the user experience for all visitors and apply relevant accessibility standards throughout our design and development process.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG is developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.

Conformance at Level AA means that our platform strives to meet the following principles:

• Perceivable: Information and user interface components are presented in ways that all users can perceive, including those using screen readers or other assistive technologies.
• Operable: Interface components and navigation are operable by all users, including those who rely on keyboard navigation or voice control.
• Understandable: Information and the operation of the interface are clear and predictable.
• Robust: Content is developed to be compatible with current and future assistive technologies and user agents.

We take a range of measures to ensure accessibility across the platform:

• Semantic HTML: We use proper HTML elements (headings, landmarks, lists, tables) to ensure content structure is meaningful and navigable by assistive technologies.
• ARIA Labels: Interactive elements include appropriate ARIA attributes to provide context and instructions to screen reader users.
• Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible and follow a logical tab order.
• Colour Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) to ensure readability.
• Screen Reader Testing: We test with popular screen readers including NVDA, VoiceOver, and JAWS to verify compatibility.
• Responsive Design: The platform is designed to work across devices and screen sizes, supporting text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
• Alt Text: Images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so they do not interfere with screen readers.
• Form Accessibility: Form fields include clear labels, error messages are associated with their respective fields, and required fields are clearly indicated.

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform may have limitations we are actively working to address:

• Third-party content: Some content embedded from third-party services (such as payment forms or maps) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We work with our partners to improve this.
• PDF documents: Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to ensure all new documents meet accessibility standards and are updating legacy documents on a rolling basis.
• Complex data visualisations: Some charts and graphs may have limited screen reader support. We provide data tables as alternatives where possible.

We maintain an internal accessibility backlog and prioritise fixes based on user impact. If you encounter an issue not listed here, please let us know.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and provide a resolution or timeline within 10 business days.
